What exactly were the United board thinking in completely refusing to back Mourinho in the transfer market but also electing not to sack him?He wanted a top CB, a LB, a RW, and Martial out, and he got none of those things. I can understand not wanting to sell your promising young talents and have another KDB/Salah/Lukaku situation, and I can also understand not wanting to spend big money on aging players who will not hold the transfer value you have to spend to bring them in.
